At Home with Japanese Touches
As with every residence it builds, Green Star Builders brought a heightened design sensibility and aesthetic to this home. It showcases how a well-considered house brings joy to its makers, inhabitants, and visitors. The homeowners’ travels to Japan inspired this custom dwelling that is far from cookie-cutter. Inside, visitors will find a Japanese sento (bathhouse)–inspired spacious main bath, where the ritual of side-by-side seated showering and rinsing with a wooden pail refreshes the home’s residents.
Located in a historic district with an unassuming facade, this home is a delight to discover as it unfolds. Pleasure is built in, from the floating entry bench to the generously sized portal that creates a play of light in the living room. The home doesn’t feel palatial; instead it feels intimate and uplifting. Green Star is proud of this home. It displays the care they took in making it.
